Have you loved the Step Up movie series? Well there is some good news for you! YouTube has just announced in Anaheim at its VidCon conference that it will be releasing a Step Up series for its YouTube Red subscription service. Another very exciting announcement with this was the name of the producers of the series, Channing and Jenna Tatum.

How awesome is this show going to be? After the couple found each other in the original 2006 film, they will be recreating the show for millions if not a billion viewer on YouTube. Also, the Step Up films were released by Lionsgate's Summit Entertainment and this is what the studio had to say in response to YouTube's addition to the team and taking on this latest series:
"I’ve been a fan of the Step Up movies for years and always believed the films would translate into an awesome original series,” said Susanne Daniels, global head of original content,YouTube. “We know that dance is a hugely successful global category on YouTube, so I’m excited to have a series rooted in such an enormously popular genre on our platform."
The series will also carry other original film executive producers along with the Tatum's, such as Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman.

The addition of the film to series Step Up to Red, along with the several other renewed and new YouTube originals symbolizes YouTube's entrance into the entertainment industry in a new light. It we interesting to see how YouTube grows Red in the near future.
